The time-honored practice of having a model pose in desolate surroundings is given new life with this dreamlike portrait; as the title suggests, lighting is the key--but your pose and expression lends an intense spirituality to the portrait! Your hair hanging off the edge and your dirt-smudged arm are wonderful details...my only regret is that we can't see all of you stretched out upon the plank, but I think that would have distracted from your facial expression.
