For once, I have to write a critique that is not so positive. I do not understand the composition of this picture. My eyes go from the window to the model to the seat without knowing what has to be emphasised. The lighting on the model is nice, but I think that, overall, the picture is too "messy" and, because of that, it is hard to enjoy. The pose is rather awkward. The face doesn't show any emotion. The background might show something interesting but it is (for the sake of overall exposure) too overexposed to even guess something. In summary, I think this picture cannot even dream of matching the numerous amazing other pictures from Melissa.
Sublime contrast of textures. The supple skin is alive as the setting seems old and venerable. The pose is strange, but in the most perfect way. Out of place and time, balletic and delicate as a flower blooming in the pale morning light of the summer dawn. The hint of a smile dances on her lips, much like her form. Stretching like the smile playing on my lips as I observes the unabashed freedom and uncorrupted beauty of the scene. A most pleasant diversion indeed.
